About Me
Nigella changed my life (even if she doesn’t know it).
I grew up around baking and there was always something sweet in the oven. For me, pudding conjures warm childhood memories, when even the jingle of a Mr Whippy van was enough to make my heart skip with joy. Indulgences were carefree and abundant. To this day, I can’t eat a Bounty without being swept up by memories of sun-drenched school days, peeling away chunks of chocolate and devouring the coconut inside, fingers sticky with fondant. When I enjoy something sweet, it is like being wrapped in the warm, comforting blanket of nostalgia.
This means when I indulge, I want it to feel as decadent and magical as those childhood memories. And there’s the rub. My childhood yearning had been dashed on so many occasions, that one day, on a whim, I picked up a Nigella cookbook and baked the first thing I’d ever baked in my life. Until then, I’d thought that baking was something rigid, fussy. But Nigella showed me a world where cake could be generous, comforting … and oh so naughty.
And once I’d seen that world, I couldn’t imagine anything else. It was the beginning of everything that would become The Naughty Cook.
My Mission
Baking is my love. Decadence is my superpower. And my mission is simple: to create desserts that feel like a warm, joyful rush of nostalgia — the kind that make your heart skip even before the first bite.
Whether it’s my Great Taste Award-winning brownies or legendary crumbles, I set out to make the most perfect, indulgent mouthfuls of ooey, gooey yum you can imagine. Big flavours, generous layers, unapologetic pleasure — that’s what matters here.
Made By Hand
Everything at The Naughty Cook is unashamedly artisanal. Each slice is made by hand using only the finest ingredients — from homemade preserves and fudge to sustainable Belgian chocolate.
Every tray is baked with the precision and attention to detail of a chocolate-covered physicist. Slices are measured individually and finishing touches are placed by hand. It’s a process rooted in craft rather than convenience.
By baking every batch myself, I can ensure each slice is as moist, chewy and gloriously indulgent as the cakes I want to eat. This is handmade in its truest sense — thoughtful, meticulous, and made with genuine care.
